EAST STROUDSBURG - The East Stroudsburg University baseball team was picked third in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Preseason Poll, the organization announced on Monday.
The Warriors received one first-place vote and totaled 90 points. Defending Atlantic Region champion West Chester was chosen first with eight first-place votes, followed by Millersville in second with a trio of first-place tallies. Seton Hill (No. 4), Slippery Rock (No. 5), Charleston (No. 6), Gannon (No. 7), Mercyhurst (No. 8), Concord (No. 9) and Glenville State (No. 10) rounded out the top ten.
The NCBWA preseason all-region team will be released tomorrow at 2 p.m.
First pitch of the Warriors' 2023 campaign is scheduled for Saturday, February 11, against Barton in Wilson, North Carolina. The home opener is slated for Saturday, February 25, versus Saint Anslem for a twin bill.
