EAST STROUDSBURG – Nathan Bradway broke a scoreless tie in the 66th minute for the East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team, but Saint Thomas Aquinas recorded the equalizer during the 82nd minute to force a draw in ESU's non-conference finale on Tuesday evening inside Eiler-Martin Stadium.
With the tie, the Warriors move to 6-3-6 on the season. The Spartans, who have clinched the top-seed in the East Coast Conference are now 9-2-4 in 2023.
Notables
- Nathan Bradway recorded his third goal of the season to open the scoring during the 66th minute of action. Off a corner kick, Bradway was able to get a hold of a clearing pass attempt from a STAC defender and deposited the shot into the back of the net.
- Angel Catalan Hernandez recorded the equalizer in his first goal of the season with under eight minutes to play. He rocketed the shot on a free kick.
- ESU GK Helgi Hermannsson (2-2-3) made a save in the knotted score. His counterpart, Calle Olle Petter Gunnarsson (9-0-4) made seven saves.
- The Warriors held significant advantages in shots (23-5), shots on goal (8-2) and corners (11-2).
