LOCK HAVEN – East Stroudsburg University volleyball middle blocker Anna Coulter continued to rack in the honors as the sophomore was tabbed as the back-to-back Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Coulter proved why she was the reigning PSAC East Athlete of the Week as the sophomore averaged 4.16 kills, 1.5 digs, 0.6 aces and 0.6 blocks per set to go along with a remarkable .615 hitting percentage (25 kills, 1 error, 39 attacks) in a pair of victories for ESU. She helped extend the Warriors' win streak to 15 straight and remain a perfect 10-0 in the conference.
In a sweep of Lock Haven on Friday night, Coulter finished with 10 kills, three digs, three blocks and a .529 hitting percentage. She followed that up on Saturday with a match-high 15 kills on a .682 hitting percentage to go along with six digs, four aces, one block and an assist in a three-set victory at Bloomsburg.
Among PSAC rankings, Coulter is first in hitting percentage (.423), fourth in points (4.24), seventh in aces (0.48), ninth in kills (3.22) and 11th in blocks (0.87) per set. Additionally, Coulter's hitting percentage ranks ninth in all of NCAA Division II.
Coulter tallied the sixth weekly award of the season for ESU as Makayla Baca (Defensive Athlete of the Week – Sept. 11, Oct. 16) and Taylor Haan (Athlete of the Week – Sept. 11, 18) were both previously honored twice. It's the third PSAC award for Coulter in her career as the Hershey native garnered Defensive Athlete of the Week honors on September 12, 2022, and Athlete of the Week honors seven days ago.
