NEWTON, N.J. – Following yesterday's tough loss, the East Stroudsburg University men's wrestling team bounced back with a 49-3 victory over Sussex in a non-conference dual on Friday night.
The Warriors responded following a pair of losses to improve to 3-2 overall in duals this season while the Skylanders hosted their first-ever home dual.

- The Warriors opened the match with a commanding 18-0 lead as junior Daniel Principe (125), freshman Francisco Perez-Gonzalez (133) and junior Carlens Lapaix (141) registered falls at their respective weight classes
- Following a pair of forfeit victories for senior Jacob Remolina (149) and freshman Joshua Montesino (157), the Warriors extended the lead to 37-0 as freshman Luke Schirmacher (165) earned a 4-1 decision over Sussex's David Argueta, while fellow classmate Kasim Bahar (174) followed with a 14-4 major decision against the Skylanders' Shawn Pawlowski
- After Sussex got on the board at 184 pounds but senior Matthew Richardson (197) and freshman David Pierson (285) closed out the back with back-to-back pins to make the final score 49-3
