The East Stroudsburg University men's and women's track & field team had a busy Friday afternoon competing at both the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston and Fasttrack National Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Running Highlights
Jeanette Jones kicked off the day for the Warriors on the track with a ninth place finish in the 60m hurdles as the graduate student clocked a time of 9.14.
After taking eighth in the 60m dash invitational final, Destiny Thompson returned to the finals with a fourth place finish after crossing the line in 7.65.
Jones returned for the 400m where she ran a personal-best time of 58.01 which ranks fifth all-time in program history. Ariel Kyle was 0.17 seconds shy of a PSAC qualifying time in the event as the junior finished in 1:00.67.
In the 400m, Thompson took 44th place with a personal-best time of 25.16, moving her up to fifth all-time in program history. Kyle (133rd – 26.28) and Kayla Horning (149th – 26.58) both recorded season-best times in their respective finishes.
The Warriors posted the ninth best 4x400m time in school history as Jones, Horning, Kyle and Thompson combined to cross the line in 3:57.74 for a 28th place finish.
Field Highlights
Elizabeth Makar had a quick turnaround after competing yesterday as the two-time All-American notched a third place finish in the shot put with a mark of 13.34m (43-9 ¼).
Heather Gaughran continues to impress in the pole vault as the junior finished in a tie for fourth after clearing the bar at personal-best height of 3.45m (11-3 ¾). Gaughran's effort ranks tied for fourth all-time in program history. Nickolina Annelli recorded a top-10 finish in eighth with a mark of 3.30m (10-10) and Hannah Frankenfield took 12th at 3.15m (10-4).
Throwing the weight on back-to-back days, Makar secured a ninth place finish in the event after recording a toss of 16.65m (54-7). Isabella Marte was in the top-20 in 19th at 15.26m (50-0), while Samiyah Little (25th – 14.30m), Madison Horahan (26th – 14.24m) and Zionette Salahuddin (27th – 12.82m) rounded out the finishes for ESU.
Fasttrack National Invitational
Sophomore Brian McGarrity opened the day for the Warriors with a 22nd place finish in the 3000m after clocking a personal-best time of 8:47.10.
In the 5000m, Landon Boyle also ran a personal-best time as the freshman crossed the line in 15:41.97 to take 23rd.
On the women's side, Lauren Reed posted a time of 1:05.05 in the 400m on her way to taking 67th.
In the mile, Megan Elgrim recorded a 69th place finish after running a time of 5:56.86.
