UNIVERSITY PARK – The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team competed in their final meet of the regular seson at the Penn State Tune Up on Friday at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter II Indoor Track.
The Warriors will send 13 student-athletes to next week's PSAC Indoor Championships at Bucknell's Gerhard Fieldhouse.
Running Highlights
In the 60m dash, Maya Girdy recorded a fifth place finish with a personal-best time of 8.20.
It was a busy day for Kayla Horning as the sophomore was 0.23 seconds away from a conference qualifying mark in the 200m as she finished sixth with a time of 26.43.
Field Event Highlights
The Warriors recorded sixth and seventh place finishes in the long jump as Elyssa Pemu led the way with a mark of 4.62m (15-2), followed by Horning at 4.61m (15-1 ½).
With only five competitors in the pole vault, Heather Gaughran secured a fourth place finish after eclipsing the bar at 3.37m (11-0 ¾).
