LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team kicked off the outdoor season on Friday as select throwers competed on day one of the Monmouth Spring Opener at Joe Compagni Track at Kessler Stadium.
Notching PSAC automatic qualifying marks for the Warriors were
Elizabeth Makar and
Samiyah Little in the hammer throw.
Field Event Highlights
Picking up right where she left off, Makar earned a runner-up finish in the hammer throw with a PSAC automatic qualifying mark of 48.64m (159-07). Little was not far behind in fifth place with a conference qualifying and personal-best throw of 46.33m (152-0), while senior
Zionette Salahuddin took ninth after recording a toss of 43.02m (141-01).
