FAIRFAX, Va. – For the second straight season, junior Elizabeth Makar broke the hammer throw record as the East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team opened the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Friday at George Mason Stadium.
On her way to capturing a first place finish in the event over a field of Division I throwers, Makar notched a recorded breaking throw of 52.05m (170-9). The Oxford native surpassed her previous mark of 51.65m (169-5) set at the ESU All-American Meet (4/23/22) and currently ranks second in the PSAC.
Samiyah Little rounded out the top-10 with a toss of 44.35m (145-6) and Zionette Salahuddin took 13th at 42.95m (140-11).
