EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University field hockey student-athletes Nicole Krozser, Lia Parker and Amy Supey have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The organization was formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America and the At-Large Academic All-America ballot includes the sports of beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.
The trio becomes ESU's 14th, 15th and 16th Academic All-District selections as they join Hannah Barbush (2021-22), Sydney McCarthy (2017-18), Danielle Ard (2015-17), Emily Howell (2016-17), Ally Roth (2015-16), Jessica Frantz (2010-11), Angela Frantz (2010-11), Katie Fox (2004-05), Shannon McCracken (2002-03) and Katie Horst (1996-99).
Named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Scholars of Distinction list three times, Krozser maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.973 and graduated with her bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders back on May 6. The Boonton, N.J. native lifted the Warriors to the 2022 NCAA Division II National Championship this season after scoring the game-winning goal with 37 seconds remaining on December 3 against Shippensburg. Krozser was a NFHCA First Team All-American selection and was tabbed to the All-PSAC Second Team after recording 10 goals and four assists in 19 games.
A four-time National Academic Squad member, Parker recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.827 and graduated with her bachelor's degree in exercise science earlier this month. Parker played a key role in the Warriors capturing the 2022 PSAC and NCAA Division II National championships as the East Stroudsburg native registered eight goals and four assists while starting all 22 games. Parker earned NFHCA First Team All-America honors and was an All-PSAC selection for the second time in her career after landing on the third team.
Supey, who was the 2022 NCAA statistical champion in goals against average (0.41) and save percentage (0.873), produced a cumulative GPA of 3.778 while majoring in nursing. The Lehman native notched 55 saves and 15 shutouts (seven solo) on the way to ESU securing the conference and NCAA titles. Supey was a named to the All-PSAC First Team and an NFHCA First Team All-American.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 22.
