5/31/2023 1:20:00 PM

EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University baseball right handed pitchers Chase Nowak and Tom Reisinger continued to collect postseason honors as the duo was tabbed to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Atlantic Region First Team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

A second team selection a season ago, Nowak joins Jeremy Gigliotti as the only two pitchers in program history to garner a pair of ABCA All-Region honors. This season, Nowak was selected as the PSAC East and NCBWA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year as well as to the All-PSAC East, NCBWA and D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Teams. Making 15 starts, the Wilkes-Barre native went 8-4 with a 2.26 ERA in 79.2 innings pitched while punching out 82 batters.

Across five seasons with the Warriors, Nowak left his mark in the record book as he set the program records for wins (27), strikeouts (302), innings pitched (267.1) and games started (52) while ranking third all-time in ERA (3.20), fourth in batting average against (.228), fourth in hits/9 innings (7.7) and sixth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.6). In 2022, he helped the Warriors eclipse the school record for wins (41), advance to the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional for the first time while setting the single-season program marks for winning percentage (9-0, 1.000) and games started (16).

Reisinger garnered ABCA/Rawling honors for the first time as the junior posted a 6-2 record, 2.64 ERA and a team-high 97 strikeouts over 71.2 innings pitched. This season, Reisinger was an All-PSAC East First Team selection as well as a member of the NCBWA and D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Teams.

The Warriors earned a pair of ABCA All-Region for the second straight season and have 23 selections under head coach John Kochmansky.

The ABCA All-Region Teams are voted on by members of the ABCA and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division II All-America Committee.
