EAST STROUDSBURG – After earning all-district recognition, the College Sports Communicators announced on Thursday that Nicole Krozser has become the eighth East Stroudsburg University field hockey student-athlete in program history to garner Academic All-America honors.

Krozser was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Women's At-Large Third Team and posted a 3.97 GPA after graduating in May with her bachelor's degree in communications sciences and disorders major.

Krozser became 10th Academic All-America selection overall, joining Hannah Barbush (2022, 3rd Team), Syndey McCarthy (2018, 1st Team), Emily Howell (2017, 2nd Team), Danielle Ard (2017, 3rd Team), Ally Roth (2016, 3rd Team), Katie Horst (1998-99 – 1st Team, 1997 3rd Team) and Michelle Knapik (1987, 1st Team).

Named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Scholars of Distinction for the third time this spring, Krozser propelled ESU to the 2022 NCAA Division II National Championship after scoring the game-winning goal with 37 seconds remaining against Shippensburg back on December 3. The Boonton, N.J. native was a NFHCA First All-America and All-PSAC Second Team selection after registering 24 points on a team-high 10 goals and four assists in 19 games.

Krozser, who enters her final season with 17 goals and seven assists, will look to help the Warriors defend their title beginning on Saturday, September 2 at Saint Thomas Aquinas.
