SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Needing a win or a tie, the East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team (7-4-4, 4-3-2) came up big, winning 4-1 over PSAC rival Shippensburg (2-13-0, 1-8-0) at David See Field Saturday.
The first of four Warriors goals came in the 40th minute off the boot of
Nathan Bradway, who took a pass from
Zach McKinney into the net. Later, in the 69th minute, Bradway sent a ball to
Jace Seara, who knocked it into the goal. With ESU being aggressive in the box,
Cayetano Diaz had a penalty kick opportunity, which he did not miss, as the Warriors took a 3-0 lead in the 73rd minute. After a Raider goal to make it 3-1,
Connor Hanratty put the finishing touches on the game with his first goal of the season, bringing the final score to 4-1.
Notables
- Bradway had a goal and an assist in the match; this was the second time this season he both scored and assisted in a match. McKinney picked up his first assist of the year on Bradway's goal.
- Seara's goal was his second collegiate goal. Hanratty's goal was his first collegiate goal.
- Diaz's penalty kick goal came on his first collegiate penalty attempt.
- The Warriors had the advantage in shots (27-11), shots on goal (14-4), and corner kicks (4-0).

The Warriors will take a short break from PSAC play with a match against Holy Family at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Later in the week on Friday, ESU will face West Chester at home, as both teams are competing for the third and final spot in the PSAC playoffs.
