LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced Steven Arias as the PSAC East Athlete of the Week on Monday, his third time winning the award this season.

In ESU's lone conference game this week, Arias recorded his eighth goal and first assist of the season against Shepherd. To start the game, the junior found an open Jeter Cardona at just the 15-minute mark for the first score of the game. Coming out of halftime, Arias drilled in a goal of his own to put the Warriors up 2-0 and safely take the game out of reach for the Rams.

With his goal, Arias remains as the top scorer of the PSAC East, leading over Millersville's Roy Parkyn who has seven. The Bronx, N.Y. native has also recorded the most points in the East with 17, once again placing above Parkyn. Arias' 12 shots on goal so far this season puts him in a tie for second in the division, just one behind Owen Hollobaugh from Bloomsburg.

The week ahead sees Arias and the men's soccer team hosting two games at home this week, the first coming against West Chester on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Eiler-Martin Stadium.
