WEST CHESTER – The East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team began the outdoor season at West Chester's Purple and Gold Invitational on a rainy Saturday at John A. Farrell Stadium.
Running Highlights
In the 100m dash, Zandray Thompson finished as the runner-up with a time of 11.35 to win Heat 6 and Ben Terry took fourth place after crossing the line in 11.46.
The Warriors recorded seven of the top 11 finishers in the 1500m led by a runner-up finish from freshman Tim Gale (4:18.15), followed by Brian McGarrity (4:19.83) in third and Bryce Keenoy (4:21.14) in fourth. Evan Wooby (4:23.08) came in third place, Lucas Thaler (4:27.58) took eighth, Ethan Holcomb (4:28.66) finished 10th and Landon Boyle (4:28.96) was right behind in 11th.
Also competing for the Warriors was sophomores Andrew Dowdell (24th – 4:45.75) and Justin Walters (30th – 5:01.95).
