WEST CHESTER – The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team got the outdoor season underway with West Chester's Purple and Gold Invitational on a rain soaked Saturday at John A. Farrell Stadium.
Running Highlights
ESU dominated the 1500m as the Warriors recorded six of the top 10 finishers including
Payton Falkenstein (5:05.27) in first place,
Holly Chambers (5:08.29) in second and
Carla Bautista (5:08.74) in third place. Freshman
Gabriela Orama (5:18.5) took fifth place,
Megan Elgrim (5:25.35) followed in seventh and
Hannah Skelly (5:27.10) rounded out the top-10.
Also competing for the Warriors were freshman
Tara Haring (12th – 5:29.69),
Kiera Wimbush (17th – 5:44.54) and Abigail Kolb(19th – 5:48.59).
