Samiyah Little highlighted the East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team by capturing the hammer throw title
on day one of the Monmouth Spring Opener on Friday at Kessler Stadium.
Field Highlights
On her way to a first-place finish in the hammer, Little recorded a PSAC automatic qualifying mark of 49.10m (161-1) on her final attempt to ultimately win the event. Also competing for the Warriors was freshman
Bailey Grassman (16th – 36.71m), sophomore
Sarah Roth (17th – 36.18m) and freshman
Trinity Lucas (20th – 32.28m).
In the discus, Roth finished 24th after notching a throw of 25.71m (84-4) and
Rachel Heggenstaller was right behind in 25th with a mark of 22.99m (75-5) in her track and field debut.
