3/7/2024 2:47:00 PM

LOCK HAVEN – On Thursday afternoon, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on that East Stroudsburg University men's basketball redshirt junior forward Lakeem McAliley was selected to the All-PSAC East First Team, while redshirt senior guard Justin Paz and junior guard Jaelen McGlone were honored on the All-PSAC East Second Team.

McAliley becomes just the fifth Warrior to earn All-PSAC East honors in three seasons, earning back-to-back All-PSAC East First Team selections, along with being named to the second team as a freshman in 2022. He led No. 14/18 ESU in scoring (17.3 ppg), field goal percentage (.563%) rebounding (5.9), blocks (22) and second in steals (2.2). Among PSAC leaders, the Philadelphia native ranked 11th in scoring, 19th in rebounding, fourth in field goal percentage, 12th in free throw percentage, fourth in steals and 21st in blocks. He accomplished the impressive statistics without ranking in the top 25 in the conference in minutes played.

Among Warriors all-time, McAliley ranks eighth in points (1434) and currently has the third most points during a junior season in program history. He ranks seventh in field goals made (543), seventh in field goal percentage (.563), 10th in 3-point field goal percentage (38.8), 10th in free throws made (282), ninth in free-throw percentage (.775), 21st in rebounds (512), tied for eighth in steals (159) and 14th in blocks (75).

He joins Whis Grant (2013-15), Duane Johnson (2011-13), Lonnie White (1991-93) and Jonathan Roberts (1988-90) as three-time All-PSAC East selections. Next year, he looks to join Grant and Roberts as ESU players to earn All-PSAC East First Team honors in three seasons.

McGlone earns his first all-conference selection after being named to the All-PSAC East Second Team. He ranked second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.4 points per game, while shooting an efficient 52.5 percent from the floor and 39.3 percent on 3-point attempts. He knocked down 79.9 percent of his free throw attempts. The Cheltenham native shined defensively, pacing the Warrior with 2.2 steals per contest, which ranked third in the PSAC and ninth in the country in the category. He's a major factor in the Warriors ranking seventh nationally in steals per game and sixth in turnovers forced per game.

Paz also earns his first All-PSAC East recognition, landing on the All-PSAC East Second Team. The Allentown native averaged 10.1 points, 3.9 assists, while knocking down 40 percent of his 3-point attempts. As ESU's primary point guard, he led the PSAC and ranks third in the nation in assist/turnover ratio and eighth in the conference in assists. The redshirt senior ranks 24th all-time in program history in points (1107), fifth in 3-pointers made (200) and seventh in assists (355). Paz is the only player in program history to make at least 200 3-point field goals and record 350-plus assists.

McAliley, McGlone, Paz and the rest of the Warriors will find out if they have earned one of five at-large berths into the NCAA DII Atlantic Region during the NCAA DII Selection Show on Sunday at 11:00 p.m.
