Acrobatics & Tumbling Falls to #11 Mary Hardin-Baylor & #13 Augustana

BELTON, TEXAS – The East Stroudsburg University acrobatics and tumbling wrapped up its spring break trip on Saturday by dropping a nationally ranked tri-meet to #11 Mary Hardin-Baylor and #13 Augustana (S.D.) inside the Mayborn Campus Center.

ESU saw their program record three-game win streak come to an end as the Warriors dropped to 3-4, while The Crue improved to 4-1 and the Vikings to 3-1 overall.

How it Happened
  • ESU opened the tri-meet with the Compulsory Event as the Warriors totaled 32.10 points which included 9.30's in both the Pyramid and Toss Heats
  • Moving to the Acro Event, the Warriors registered 21.75 points after totaling 8.85 in 5 Element, 8.15 in 6 Element and 4.75 in 7 Element
  • In the final event before the halftime break, ESU notched 25.25 points in the Pyramid Event which included a high score of 9.35 in the Open Heat
  • Following the 15 minute intermission, the Warriors had a 7.10 in 450 Salto, 6.85 in Synchronized and 8.55 in the Open Heats to finish with 22.500 points in the Toss Event
  • Shifting to the Tumbling Event, the Warriors scored 42.975 points which included a 6.950 (Duo Pass), 6.650 (Trio Pass), 6.150 (Quad Pass), 7.750 (Ariel Pass), 8.175 (6 Element Pass) and 7.300 (Open Pass) across the six different heats
  • In the Team Event, ESU registered 71.670 points to bring their total score to 216.245
