LEWISBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team returned to action on Saturday as select Warriors competed at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.  

Holly Chambers highlighted the day for ESU as the graduate student notched a PSAC automatic qualifying time in the 1500m.

Running Highlights

Chambers paced a pair of Warriors in the unseeded 1500m as the graduate student clocked a PSAC automatic qualifying time of 4:53.30 to finish in 33rd place, while freshman Carla Bautista took 74th at 4:58.64.  

Payton Falkenstein continued to impress in the 5000m invitational as the first-year student slashed 15 seconds off her freshman record in the event and moved up to eighth all-time in the program history with a personal-best time of 17:36.93 to take 41st place.

In the unseeded 800m, freshman Hannah Skelly posted a seventh place finish after crossing the line in 2:24.75.

Field Highlights

In the long jump, senior Kamya Edmonds notched a 13th place finish after leaping 5.36m (17-7) on her second attempt.
