SLIPPERY ROCK – Despite trailing 5-0 after the top of the first inning, the 18th-ranked East Stroudsburg University baseball team rallied to defeat Slippery Rock, 16-10, in the opening round of the PSAC Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Jack Critchfield Park.
The Rock (28-18) led ESU (39-10) at 5-0, 6-3 and 7-6 before the Warriors scored 10 runs over the final four innings, which included a five spot in the bottom of the sixth, to advance to the double-elimination portion of the bracket for the first time since 2022.
