EAST STOUDSBURG – Six East Stroudsburg University student-athletes, including three from the field hockey and lacrosse teams, earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Honored on the women's at-large team was field hockey's
Nicole Krozser,
Lia Parker and
Jady van Gils while lacrosse's
Emily Mitarotonda,
Hannah Schiemer and
Abby Simonetti received the honors.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. NCAA and NAIA Women's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
At-Large Academic All-America ballot includes the sports of beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
