EAST STROUDSBURG – On Thursday afternoon, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced that the East Stroudsburg University volleyball team was selected to finish third in the PSAC Eastern Division, selected by the league's head coaches.

Shippensburg garnered five of the eight first-place votes, Shepherd earned a first-place tally in second and the Warriors collected a pair of first-place votes in third. Behind ESU in the poll was West Chester (4th), Lock Haven (5th), Bloomsburg (6th), Kutztown (7th) and Millersville (8th).  

In the West, defending PSAC champion Gannon earned six of the eight first-place votes, while Clarion followed in second and IUP in third place with a pair of first-place tallies. Pitt-Johnstown (4th), Edinboro (5th), Seton Hill (6th), Slippery Rock (7th) and California (8th) rounded out the division.

The Warriors finished the 2023 campaign with a 22-7 record overall and 13-2 mark in the PSAC East after winning 17 consecutive matches from September 16 to November 4.

ESU opens the 2024 season with a trip to Ohio as the Warriors compete against West Liberty (10 a.m.) and Nova Southeastern (2 p.m.) on Friday, September 6, at the Ashland University Invitational.
