EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University volleyball team wrapped up its weekend in dominant fashion with two consecutive straight-set victories against Saint Anselm (25-18, 25-10, 25-14) and Jefferson (25-17, 25-11, 25-18) to close the ESU Tri-Match on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
The Warriors (9-2) extended their winning streak to seven heading into the PSAC East slate next week. The Hawks fell to 4-7, while Jefferson dropped to 4-9.
Notables vs. Saint Anselm
- Anna Coulter was stellar with 10 kills on just 12 attempts, finishing with an impressive .833 hitting percentage. The Hershey native also registered five total blocks. Through nine matches, Coulter is hitting at a .472 clip with 3.76 kills per set.
- Hanna Garrison recorded nine kills on 23 attempts (.304), while adding five digs.
- Allison Birtcil tallied nine kills and seven digs.
- Taylor Haan facilitated the offense with 27 assists and added three aces.
- Rachel Abramson provided four total blocks, while Leonor Chambel posted 11 digs and four service aces.

Set 1 (25-18): Holding a one-point lead at 6-5, the Warriors took a four-point lead at 10-6. After three consecutive points from Saint Anselm, ESU took control with an 8-4 run to grab an 18-10 advantage. The Warriors held a lead of at least six points the rest of the way to take the first set, 25-18.

Set 2 (25-10): ESU dominated the second frame from start to finish. Holding a three-point edge at 5-2, the Warriors extended their lead to 8-2. Saint Anselm cut the deficit to two points at 8-6 and 9-7, but the Warriors closed the set on a 16-3 surge to take a 2-0 lead after a 25-10 victory in the second set.

Set 3 (25-14): The Hawks stayed competitive early in the third set. Clinging to a 12-11 lead after a 3-0 Saint Anselm run, the Warriors built an 18-13 lead and closed the match with seven consecutive points to earn their second consecutive sweep.
Notables vs. Jefferson
- Coulter led the team again with 11 kills on 18 attempts (.500), while also providing three service aces and two block assists.
- Hannah Garrison (nine kills) and KiLee Kuhlman (eight kills) combined for 17 kills. Garrison dug out six Ram attacks.
- Along with contributing seven kills, Birtcil tallied a team-high 14 digs.
- Haan continued her playmaking, recording 35 assists and four aces.
- Chambel reached double figures in digs (11) for the eighth consecutive match and has totaled at least 10 in eight of nine matches this season.

Set 1 (25-17): The first set was closely contested with multiple ties, but the Warriors surged ahead with a 6-1 run to take a 15-10 advantage. After a 3-0 run from the Rams, ESU extended its lead to 20-13. Jefferson scored three consecutive points late, but an attack error and a kill from Kuhlman lifted ESU to a 25-17 set-one win.

Set 2 (25-11): The Warriors started strong, earning 15 of the first 20 points in the second set to build a 10-point advantage at 15-5. Holding a nine-point lead at 18-9, ESU closed set two with a 7-2 run to take a 2-0 lead.

Set 3 (25-18): With ESU leading 9-8, the Warriors gained momentum with six consecutive points to build a 15-8 advantage. Jefferson crept back to within four at 17-13, but ESU secured its third consecutive sweep and seventh straight victory with a 25-18 third set win.
