LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Following impressive performances at the Ramapo College Season Opener, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced Tuesday that Shannon Harnett and Anthony Voto have been named PSAC Indoor Field Athletes of the Week.
Harnett took first place in the triple jump with a school-record mark of 38-11¾, posting PSAC automatic qualifying and NCAA provisional marks in the event. Her jump ranks 11th in NCAA Division II this season. The West Milford, N.J., native surpassed Tatiana Williams' previous school record of 38-2¾ set in 2020. Harnett—a Towson transfer—also competed in the high jump, clearing 5-1¾ to finish 10th among 28 competitors.
Voto placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 62-2½ inches and fourth in the shot put with a throw of 50-5½ at Ramapo. The Sayreville, N.J., product recorded a personal best in the weight throw, which ranks third all-time at ESU and 12th in NCAA Division II this season. His season-best shot put toss of 54-11¼, set at the West Point Open, currently ranks 16th in the country.
The Warriors return to action in Lewisburg, Pa., when ESU competes at the Gulden Invitational hosted by Bucknell on Jan. 25.
