LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Nasir Griffin of the ESU men's basketball team was named the PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
 
Griffin was the primary engine for ESU's offense across its final three games of the 2025 year, helping the Warriors average 82.3 PPG while averaging 12.7 PPG himself. The senior forward shot 15-of-28 for a 53.6% shooting percentage, also dishing out three assists in ESU's win 86-61 over Clarion.
 
On the season, Griffin is averaging 11.0 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 2.4 APG, shooting 47.6% from the field and 65.7% from the free throw line. The Philadelphia native was named the PSAC East Athlete of the Week last season on Feb. 3, 2025, marking this as his second weekly PSAC award. Griffin is one of three Warriors to start all 10 games so far this season, playing 23.0 MPG as ESU has gotten off to a 7-3 start and heads into the winter break in fourth place in the PSAC East.
 
The Warriors return to action for back-to-back games on Jan. 2 and 3, traveling to California and Slippery Rock to start 2026.
