LEWISBURG, Pa. - The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team competed for one last time before the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships at the Bucknell Tune Up.
PSAC Automatic Qualifiers
Sidney Hutt recorded a PSAC automatic qualifying time in the mile.
Track Highlights
In the prelims of the 60 meters,
Alyssa Vogt (8.23 seconds) and
Kristian Dorsett (8.24 seconds) would both qualify for the final later in the afternoon.
In the finals, Dorsett ran her new career fastest time of 8.09 seconds to finish in fourth place. Vogt claimed sixth after running her personal best time of 8.18 seconds.
Hutt recorded the fastest time for the Warriors in the mile with her new personal best of 5:18.65 seconds, finishing in fifth place and earning a qualifying time for the conference championship.
Gabriela Orama would record 5:30.73 seconds on the day.
Hannah Skelly finished the 800 meters in 2:26.82 seconds which is her season best.
Alex Chobany (2:26.92) and
Marissa McDougall (2:26.96) both recorded new personal bests in the event.
Dorsett returned for the 200-meter dash where she recorded another personal best on the day after sprinting 26.91 seconds.
Field Highlights
Samiyah Little continues to impress in the weight throw, with another meet winning throw on the season. On her third attempt, Little once again broke her school record and achieved an NCAA provisional mark with 18.18 meters (59 feet 6.75 inches), which now ranks her No. 20 in Division II.
