ESU Men’s Track and Field Competes at Sykes and Sabock Challenge

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The ESU men's track and field team competed at the Sykes and Sabock Challenge at Penn State.

Mark Jackson highlighted the day with a freshman record and the No. 6 all-time program mark in the 400 meters, clocking in at 49.40 seconds.

PSAC Automatic Qualifiers
Mark Jackson (400 meters) and Tim Gale (800 meters) both notched PSAC automatic qualifying times.

Running Highlights
Freshman Mark Jackson posted the top 400-meter time of the day for the Warriors, setting a collegiate best of 49.40 seconds. His performance ranks him fifth in the conference, No. 6 all-time at ESU, and sets a new freshman record. Fellow freshman Jaden Collins ran a collegiate-best 50.11 seconds, narrowly missing the PSAC automatic qualifying time.

Tim Gale shined in the 800 meters, recording a new indoor personal best of 1:56.18. His performance ties him for fifth overall in the conference and moves him to No. 6 on ESU's all-time top-10 list.

To close out the running events, the men's 4x400-meter relay team of Ryan Ditty, Mark Jackson, Jaden Collins, and Miguel Charlery recorded a season-best time of 3:20.45, ranking fourth in the conference.

Field Highlights
In the long jump, Jack Gorham secured second place with a leap of 7.01 meters.

Taylor LaBarre placed fifth in the pole vault, clearing 4.75 meters on his first attempt.

In the weight throw, Anthony Voto finished fifth with a mark of 18.12 meters on his second attempt—the best throw among conference competitors.

Jaden Johnson recorded the top finish among ESU triple jumpers, securing second place with a mark of 14.16 meters. Freshman Kevin Polonia placed fifth at 13.62 meters, followed by Peter Stanislavsky (13.52 meters) in seventh and Samuel Chedester (12.97 meters) in eighth.

In the shot put, Cole Gorham finished fifth with a best throw of 17.77 meters.

The 117th Millrose Games
Anthony Voto competed in the 117th Millrose Games, facing some of the top competition in the nation. He placed sixth with a throw of 18.44 meters.
