KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The No. 13 East Stroudsburg University women's lacrosse team snapped a two-game skid with a dominant 18-9 victory over No. 12 Kutztown on Tuesday.
The Warriors (4-3, 1-1) took control early, outscoring the Golden Bears (5-3, 2-1) 8-1 in the first period, including the first five goals of the game.
Notables
Sadie Kauffman recorded the first double-digit point performance of her career, finishing with six assists and four goals. She also tallied four draw controls and three ground balls.
Ariana Tucci scored four goals and added two assists.
Lauren Hallman contributed five points, including three assists.
Jolee Roth registered her second hat trick of the season and added an assist.
Emily Varilla helped the Warriors gain possession with seven draw controls and three ground balls.
Abby Simonetti tied her season high with 17 saves and posted a season-best .654 save percentage.

After a Kutztown goal made it 5-1, the Warriors closed out the first half with a commanding 13-4 advantage.
Kutztown attempted a comeback in the second half, outscoring ESU in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 15-9.
However, Emma Heller, Schiemer, and Tucci sealed the win with fourth-quarter goals, securing the 18-9 victory and snapping the Warriors' losing streak.
