SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team launched their 2025 outdoor season at Shippensburg University's Keystone Challenge with seven Conference automatic qualifying marks and two NCAA provisional marks.
PSAC Automatic Qualifiers
Payton Falkenstein (1500m),
Riley Trentowski (1500m),
Porschia Bennett (High Jump),
Shannon Harnett (High Jump, Triple Jump),
Samiyah Little (Hammer Throw) and
Olivia Sforza (Javelin Throw) all notched PSAC automatic qualifying marks.
Running Highlights
Aaliyah Cancel opened her sophomore campaign with 59.78 in the 400m. Freshmen,
Aubrey Bonner and Krstian Dorsett, made their outdoor collegiate debuts in the 400m.
Payton Falkenstein picked up her first PSAC automatic qualifying time of the outdoor season with her fourth-place finish in the 1500m with a 4:47.43.
Riley Trentowski also ran a PSAC qualifying time of 4:54.20 in the 1500m.
Anthonette Bantamoi made her outdoor collegiate debut in the 100m hurdles.
Field Highlights
The dynamic duo of
Porschia Bennett and
Shannon Harnett went one and two in the high jump, both putting up PSAC qualifying marks. Bennett won with 1.70m (5 feet 7 inches) and Harnett took runner-up with 1.65m (5 feet 5 inches).
Reese Ruggiero and
Aina Galan started their season strong in the pole vault after both vaulting 3.10m (10 feet 2 inches).
Harnett secured a PSAC qualifying distance and an NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump, finishing second with a leap of 12.13m (39 feet 9.75 inches).
Samiyah Little picked up right where she left off after an impressive indoor season with a win in the women's hammer throw. Her throw of 53.81m (176 feet 5.4 inches) secured a PSAC automatic qualification.
In the javelin throw,
Olivia Sforza started the season off with a victory and PSAC automatic qualifying throw of 40.86m (134 feet 1 inch).
