Davenport Tosses Third No-Hitter of the Season as No. 11 Warriors Sweep Bald Eagles

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The No. 11 East Stroudsburg University softball team swept Lock Haven on Tuesday afternoon at Creekview Park, earning a 1-0 victory in Game 1 before securing a 10-2 win in Game 2.

The Warriors (23-5, 7-1) relied on timely hitting and dominant pitching to take the opener, then used an offensive outburst to run-rule the Bald Eagles (9-9, 3-5) in the finale.

Pitching Highlights
Sarah Davenport (16-0) tossed her third no-hitter of the season, striking out 15 while allowing two walks over seven scoreless innings. It marked her fourth complete-game shutout of seven or more innings this season.

Abbie Landrum (3-0) picked up the Game 2 win, pitching four shutout innings while striking out two and allowing just two hits.

Hitting Highlights
Katie Master reached base four times, drove in two runs, and hit a double.

Tatum Kresley recorded three hits, two RBIs, and two doubles.

Delaney Ridgell, Kinsley Proepper, Abigail Weirich, and Tulana Mingin each had two hits and at least one RBI. Ridgell, Weirich, and Proepper drove in two runs each, with Proepper's RBIs coming solely from her two-run home run.

Game 1: How It Happened
Davenport continued to prove why she is one of Division II's top pitchers, throwing another no-hitter. The game remained scoreless until the sixth inning when Ridgell delivered a clutch two-out single on a 2-2 pitch, driving in Weirich for the game's only run and securing ESU's victory.

Game 2: How It Happened
The Warriors' offense started early in Game 2. After falling behind 1-0, Master gave ESU the lead with a two-run single in the first inning. Lock Haven briefly tied the game at 2-2, but ESU responded with eight unanswered runs while Landrum silenced the Bald Eagles' bats.

Up Next
The Warriors begin a six-game road trip with a doubleheader at Millersville on Friday, March 28. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
