STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University softball team continued its dominant season on Tuesday afternoon, sweeping West Chester for the second time this season with a pair of wins at Creekview Park.
The Warriors (38-9-1, 22-5-1 PSAC East) clinched the season series against the Golden Rams (29-16, 15-13 PSAC East), adding to their impressive run as the regular season nears its conclusion.
Notables
Abigail Weirich reached a major career milestone, recording her 200th career hit in game two. She became just the third Warrior in program history to accomplish the feat, finishing the day with two hits, one RBI, and a run scored.
Sarah Davenport continued her stellar campaign, tossing a complete-game one-hit shutout in game one to set a new single-season program record with her ninth shutout. She struck out 15 Golden Rams to earn her 25th win of the season.

Shannon Edelman delivered the go-ahead RBI single in the second inning, Davenport and ESU's defense did the rest, allowing just one hit across seven innings.

West Chester jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after a first-inning home run, but the Warriors responded in a big way. In the fourth,
Maddy Pritchard drove in two runs with a single to give ESU a 3-2 edge. The offense added insurance runs in the fifth and sixth, including RBI contributions from Weirich and
Tulana Mingin, sealing the 7-2 victory as
Abbie Landrum pitched three perfect in innings relief, with
Faith Troyer picking up the win.
