STROUDSBURG, Pa. — A group of East Stroudsburg University men's wrestlers and coaches will be in action this week at the U.S. Nationals in Las Vegas, held Thursday through Saturday.

Senior Luke Ciampa, who took fifth at the U23 Greco-Roman World Team Trials in Ohio, will compete for the first time in the Open Senior Division at 82 kg. He enters as the No. 14 seed and will wrestle Friday and Saturday.

Sophomore Sean Campbell will compete in the U20 division at 60 kg, with his matches scheduled for Thursday.

Assistant coach Matt Ciampa, competing in the Masters Division D at 62 kg, will wrestle on Thursday. Ciampa finished second in freestyle last year and will be defending his Greco-Roman national title.

In addition, assistant coach Kris Gelsinger returns to officiate his fifth U.S. Open (2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2025). Gelsinger, a UWW Category 2 official, is regarded as one of the top Freestyle and Greco-Roman referees in the country. He currently officiates at regional, national, and continental championships and is pursuing a Category M1 USA license, the highest level of certification, which would qualify him to officiate at the world championships and the Olympic Games.
