SAN ANTONIO – East Stroudsburg University's
Lakeem McAliley has been selected to compete in the King's Hawaiian Slam Dunk Contest at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.
McAliley earned a spot in the competition with the help of the Warrior community, winning a social media fan vote that concluded last week.
He will be the second Warrior to participate in the event, following Carlos Pepin who competed at the event in 2023.

McAliley led ESU in scoring this season with 545 points, averaging 18.2 points per game in 568 minutes played. He started 23 games and posted a .546 field-goal percentage and a .358 three-point percentage. He also recorded 155 rebounds (117 defensive, 38 offensive), 49 assists, 53 steals and 22 blocks in his fourth season with the Warriors.
A cornerstone of the program, McAliley finished his career as ESU's second all-time leading scorer with 1,979 points. He appeared in 119 games, making 85 starts from the 2021-22 season through this past year, totaling 2,443 minutes.
