No. 17 Warriors Baseball Drops DH at No. 6 Millersville, PSAC Tournament Begins Next Wednesday

MILLERSVILLE – Senior Jack Rothenhausler set a record for career games played and moved into second on East Stroudsburg University's hits list in the Warriors' regular season baseball finale on Friday night at Millersville's Cooper Park.

Millersville (38-7, 24-4) took both games Friday, 11-5 and 14-6, and all four games in this weekend's series between the top two teams in the PSAC East. ESU falls to 35-13 (19-9) and will travel back to Millersville as the division's No. 2 seed in the PSAC Tournament, which begins Wednesday.

ESU qualified for the PSAC Tournament for the fourth straight year, and 11th time in the last 15 seasons under head coach John Kochmansky. The Warriors won the PSAC championship in 2013 and were runner-up in 2015, 2022 and 2024.

Rothenhausler played his 204th career game, breaking the mark of 203 by fellow third baseman Drew Hercik (2013-16).

He reached base in 12 of 16 plate appearances in the series, going 4-for-8 with two home runs, a double, seven walks, one HBP, three RBI and six runs.

The four hits give him 225 in his career, moving past Jacob DeBoer (224, 2004-07) for second on the Warriors' career list and moving him four away from former teammate Brock Kauffman (229, 2018-22).  He holds nearly every ESU offensive record with 25 home runs, 65 doubles, 93 extra-base hits, 371 total bases, 350 times reached base, 45 HBP and 188 RBI, and ranks fifth with 154 runs.

Redshirt junior Parker Frey was 9-for-15 vs. the Marauders with three doubles, a triple, six RBI and three runs. He had three hits in both games on Thursday at Coca-Cola Park, home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
