SLIPPERY ROCK – Senior Samiyah Little claimed the hammer throw title for the second straight year, helping the East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team move into a tie for first place following day one of the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Championships at Slippery Rock's William C. Lennox Track.
Little, who won the weight throw title at the 2024 and 2025 PSAC Indoor Championships, defended her hammer throw crown with a mark of 53.79m (176-5) on her final attempt.
Through two events, the Warriors are tied with Millersville for first in the team standings, with both teams scoring 18 points.
Running Highlights
Sophomore Payton Falkenstein scored eight points for the Warriors with a runner-up finish in the 10,000m, crossing the line in a personal-best 38:09.86. Freshman Kiera Wimbush placed 11th with a time of 39:40.71.
Field Highlights
Also competing in the hammer throw for the Warriors were junior Sarah Roth, who placed 11th with a mark of 43.25m (141-10), and sophomore Bailey Grassman finished 14th with a throw of 41.43m (135-11).
