EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.— East Stroudsburg University head baseball coach
John Kochmansky has been named the
2025 ABCA/ATEC NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, capping off an outstanding season for the Warriors.
The team posted a 41-16 overall record (.719), went 19-9 in conference play (.679), and dominated at home with a 26-5 record. Under Kochmansky's leadership, ESU earned its first-ever berth in the NCAA Division II College World Series after a thrilling Super Regional victory over Seton Hill.
The award is part of the 2025 ABCA/ATEC Regional Coaches of the Year honors, announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association and ATEC. These awards span all collegiate and high school divisions and are selected by members of the ABCA All-America & Coach of the Year Committees across nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II, III, Pacific Association Division, and high school.
The 2025 ABCA/ATEC National Coaches of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, June 25.
