EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — With the baseball season right around the corner, D2Baseball released its Top 25 Preseason poll Sunday evening, ranking East Stroudsburg third going into 2026.
The Warriors were ranked just behind Tampa, the 2026 Division II Champions, and Central Missouri, last year's runners-up. ESU is one of four PSAC teams ranked inside the top 25, with two more receiving votes.
East Stroudsburg returns six of its starters on offense and three of its four starting pitchers from the conference play rotation from its 2025 Atlantic Region Championship team. Upperclassmen
Shanley Wall and
Chaise Albus will be back in the outfield, and redshirt seniors
Walker Zampella and
Parker Frey are two key returners in the infield. On the mound, seniors
Ryan Dewees and
Ethan Woods lead the rotation, with
Jake Albert and
Cole Dymek in the bullpen backing them up. ESU added some help through the transfer portal as well, bringing in
Cole Serfass, a 2024 and 2025 All-PSAC East Second Team catcher from Mansfield, giving the Warriors a solid tandem behind the plate with
Connor Reilly back as well.
The Warriors wrap up the final day of their five-day minicamp today, with opening day now just 24 days away. ESU starts the season with a double header against 21
st-ranked Felician in Hampton, Va., on Saturday, Feb. 14.
