Warriors Secure Tight Road Win Over Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — The ESU men's wrestling team narrowly beat Centenary on the road, defeating the Cyclones 23-20. The Warriors improved to 11-2 in duals with the win.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Warriors won four of the matches, beginning with Sean Campbell at 133 pounds to begin the dual. Campbell picked up a win by technical fall, earning a quick five points for the Warriors.
  • After dropping the next two matches, Gavin Reynolds got the Warriors back on the board with a decision win to trim the Warriors' deficit to one, 9-8.
  • Luke Ciampa secured the only win by fall of the entire dual, pinning his opponent in just over five minutes to get ESU back in it after falling in the previous two matches.
  • Ajay Hiller kept the Warriors alive with his decision win, shutting out his opponent 2-0. Centenary forfeited the 125-pound match, giving ESU the 23-20 win.
