SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURG

  • In their last outing, the Warriors defeated rival Kutztown, 87-73, on Tuesday night. ESU improved to 14-5 overall and moved into a tie for second place in the division with Millersville, both teams owning an 8-4 conference record. West Chester currently leads the division with an 8-3 record.
  • Adrian Brito has been a dominating presence all season, leading the Warriors in scoring and the PSAC in field goal percentage. Brito is averaging 13.1 PPG and has led the team in scoring six times this season while shooting 62.7% from the field. The most efficient big man in the conference, Brito also ranks 11th in Division II in that category.
  • Ethan Maynard, one of the best scorers on the starting unit, is averaging 11.5 PPG on 39.0% shooting. The sophomore guard is ESU’s second-leading scorer and one of their top perimeter threats, shooting 41.4% from beyond the arc on 5.8 3PA per game. Maynard’s defensive presence also stands out when on the court, leading the team in total steals with 30.
  • Keni Williams has had an increased offensive responsibility as a reserve for the Warriors. Averaging 9.8 PPG and 3.5 APG, Williams has been a spark plug off the bench all season whose role expanded since the Warriors opened up divisional play. In PSAC East games, Williams seen a slight uptick in his scoring, FG%, 3P%, and RPG.
  • Terrell Pitts, who was named PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year earlier in the season, has been a great two-way rotational piece for the Warriors. In addition to his consistent defensive performances on the perimeter, Pitts has had back-to-back double-digit scoring games, including a season-high 14 points against Kutztown.
  • Jalen Pichardo has made his presence felt as a rebounder throughout the PSAC, ranked fifth in the conference in total rebounding. Pichardo previously went on a four-game streak of recordinga double-double. Where Pichardo specializes is the offensive glass, leading the conference and ranking 15th nationally with 3.7 ORPG.
  • Ethan Millirions has been the best three-point shooter in Division II for the majority of the season, making 49.5% of his attempts. Millirons has made at least three three-pointers in four of his last five games, shooting 52.6% from deep and 57.1% from the field.
  • ESU is ranked second nationally in bench points at 46.4 PPG in 19 games. The Warriors have a very balanced offense, as four of their top-six leading scorers are part of the second unit. That secondary production helps fuel ESU’s scoring offense, which is second in the PSAC and 14th nationally, averaging 89.1 PPG.
  • The Warriors have played at a high level defensively, with a noticeable turnaround in production in their last eight games since defeating Slippery Rock. During that stretch, ESU has held opponents to just 72.5 PPG, which would rank as the second-best scoring defense in the conference.
  • The other stat the Warriors lead the conference in is APG. As a team, ESU averages 18.0 APG, the 12th-best in Division II.
  • ESU does well in total rebounding, averaging 39.6 RPG, the fourth-best in the conference. On the offensive glass, only five teams in Division II average more ORPG than ESU’s 16.0 per game, which helps the Warriors win the rebound battle by an average margin of 6.6 RPG.

SCOUTING WEST CHESTER

  • West Chester is coming into Koehler Fieldhouse on a high, riding a six-game winning streak. The Golden Rams look to match their previous winning streak of seven-straight wins set earlier in 2025. The Golden Rams have a 14-4 record this season and are 8-3 in the conference. They are currently first in the PSAC East with one less loss than East Stroudsburg and Millersville.
  • During their winning streak, the Golden Rams have averaged 87.2 PPG while allowing just 64.5 PPG.
  • The Golden Rams came out on top in their last game against Lock Haven in a 73-62 win on the road on Saturday. Gabe Moss led the team in scoring with 17 points on 5-6 shooting, also adding 8 rebounds.
  • This Golden Rams team is second-best in the PSAC in team rebounds, averaging 41.3 RPG, and 14th nationally. Offensively, West Chester is near the top of the conference but still a step behind ESU, scoring 87.8 PPG with an average scoring margin of 13.7 PPG.
  • The Golden Rams have three prolific scorers who average double figures. Leading the team is guard Ruben Rodriguez Jr., averaging 15.8 PPG, 7.1 RPG, and 4.1 APG in his third year. Rodriguez has had five games where he scored over 20 points in a game, and went off for a season-high 30 points against Indiana (Pa.).
  • Anthony McCall and Gabe Moss make up the other two scorers in that trio, averaging 13.7 PPG and 12.3 PPG, respectively. While McCall shows more willingness to play on the perimeter than Moss, both do the majority of their work inside the arc. Moss only averages 3.8 FGM per game, but does so on 70.2% efficiency and has also made 68.2% of his 110 FTA.
  • Dylan Blair has found ways to set his teammates up for easy buckets, leading the team and division in APG with 4.6. Also a competent scorer, Blair averages 9.8 PPG on 40.4% FG% and 32.1% 3P%.
  • ESU and West Chester are two of the best teams in the conference at forcing turnovers, with the Golden Rams holding a slight advantage. WCU forces 18.2 TPG, a near tie that narrowly favors the Golden Rams.
  • The only team in the PSAC with a better rebounding margin than ESU is West Chester, which averages 11.1 RPG more than its opponents. That figure is third-best in Division II.

  • As of late, ESU has come out on top, winning 10 of the last 13 meetings going back to Feb. 23, 2019.
