PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team delivered a strong showing at the Widener Indoor Classic over the weekend, highlighted by Shannon Harnett's record-breaking performance in the triple jump.
Track Events
In the 400m, Aaliyah Cancel placed fourth with a personal best time of 57.82. This mark moves Cancel from sixth to fourth all-time. Alexis Ray ran a time of 1:02.13, while Eyinah Smith finished in 1:02.15.
In the 800m, Riley Trentowski placed second with a time of 2:15.83, while Carla Bautista placed 33rd (2:27.39) and Hannah Skelly placed 36th (2:28.42).
Sarah Williams ran an automatic PSAC qualifying time of 10:24.54 in the 3,000m.
Field Events
Shannon Harnett broke her own school record in the triple jump with a best jump of 12.10m (39-8 ½). She surpassed her own record of 39-3 she set in 2025.
Porschia Bennett and Harnett placed first and second in the high jump, both with NCAA provisional marks. Bennett's jump of 1.75m (5-8 ¾) now ranks fourth all-time, surpassing her previous best (5-8).
In the pole vault, Aina Galan placed third (3.65m, 11-11 ¾), while Reese Ruggiero placed eighth (3.50m, 11-5 ¾).
In the shot put, Gabriela Pifano placed third, matching her personal-best throw of 12.89m (42-3 ½), which ranks sixth in program history. Emily Edelman recorded an automatic PSAC qualifying mark with a throw of 12.50m (41-0 ¼).
