2/16/2026 2:30:00 PM

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.  — In the midst of a dominant freshman year, Adrian Brito's play against Mansfield and Shippensburg earned him PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.

Brito had an outstanding week as the primary engine of ESU's offense, leading the Warriors to a season-high in scoring and efficiency against Mansfield and Shippensburg. The freshman had performances of 15 and 19 points in both of ESU's double-digit wins over Mansfield and Shippensburg, playing no more than 20 minutes in each game. Against Mansfield, Brito went 6-10 from the field and split a pair of three-point attempts. On the glass, Brito created numerous second-chance opportunities, with all four of his rebounds coming on the offensive end.

In the second game of the week, Brito was not just the Warriors' leading scorer, but also their most efficient. The freshman shot 7-8 from the field, making both of his three-pointers and three of his four free throw attempts. Rounding out his performance, Brito also dished out a team-high four assists. The forward helped ESU post their best shooting performance of the year, finishing with a season-high 58.0% FG%, their best mark since the 2023-24 season.

On the season, Brito is averaging team-highs in scoring and FG%, putting up 12.6 PPG on 61.9% shooting from the field in just 18.5 MPG. The freshman is also chipping in with 5.2 RPG, the second most on the team, and has been a plus defender, averaging just under a steal and block in each contest. In 25 games this season, Brito has reached double-digit scoring 21 times, the most on the team. This is Brito's first time being recognized by the PSAC with a weekly award.

The Warriors close out the 2025-26 regular season with three more games, alternating between road and home contests. ESU travels to Lock Haven to take on the Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night, and wraps up the schedule with Kutztown and West Chester next week before heading into the postseason.
