Lacie Kringe were named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Media Organization Scholar-Athlete Team, the organization announced Thursday.
The Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization comprises six schools in the Lehigh Valley: ESU, Cedar Crest, DeSales, Kutztown, Moravian, and Muhlenberg.
Pichardo, a junior sports management major, is averaging 7.8 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 1.8 APG, starting in all 22 games for the Warriors this season. In addition to being a standout student, Pichardo has been one of the best rebounders in the PSAC, currently ranking second in offensive rebounds per game with 3.6. Pichardo has recorded five double-doubles, all of them coming in ESU's last eight games. His career-high in rebounds came earlier this season against Mercy, grabbing 17. Pichardo has helped ESU build up a 16-6 overall record and 10-5 in-conference record as the Warriors currently hold second place in the PSAC East.
Kringe, a junior sports management major as well, is averaging 9.7 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 3.1 APG. Kringe has also started in all 22 games for the Warriors, and has had three games where she played all 40 minutes. Kringe and the Warriors are playing some of their best basketball of the season currently, as they've picked up wins over the three teams immediately behind them in the standings to hold onto third place in the division. ESU is 14-8 overall and 9-6 against conference opponents.
