EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — After already earning PSAC East Pitcher of the Week,
Evan Hughes was recognized again by the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) as its Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.
Hughes becomes the Warriors' first NCBWA Region Pitcher of the Week since Brent Francisco on April 9, 2024, marking the 15

Hughes shoved in his first conference start after transferring in from York, throwing six shutout innings against No. 24 Millersville. His dominant start led the Warriors to a 1-0 win, as they would go on to win both home games at Creekview Park and end up splitting the series. He picked up his team-best fifth win, strengthening his record to 5-0 and bringing his ERA down even further to 2.00.
The Warriors continue action this week with a non-conference nine-inning game against Queens later today at 3 p.m. before kicking off their series versus West Chester at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 27, at Creekview Park.
