SPOKANE, Wash. — Three ESU women's wrestlers competed at the USA U23 National Championship and World Team Trials in Spokane, Wash., this weekend, with Selina Moore finishing in fifth place in the 65-kg weight class.
 
Moore placed fifth in a class of 31 total wrestlers, going 6-2 on the weekend. She opened the tournament by pinning Isabel Zabronsky in 22 seconds, though she was defeated by Liv Wieber in her next match. Moore bounced back by pinning Madison Worden in 37 seconds, then defeated Marli Denmark by technical fall, 14-3 in 3:30. She took down River Todd via fall in 1:48 to continue to advance, then pinned Amelia Fawcett in a longer match that lasted 4:55. She fell to Darby Weidl, who would finish in third place, by technical fall, 12-0 and 3:00, but won her last match to earn fifth place over Elise Twait with a pin in 1:36.
 
Olivia Klein and Yianna Foufas also competed at the tournament, each going 2-2. Klein wrestled at 50 kg, while Foufas was at 53 kg.
