CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. — Yianna Foufas competed at the U.S. U20 Beach World Team Qualifiers this past weekend, finishing third in the 50 kg bracket.
 
Foufas went 3-1 in North Carolina, ending the tournament with three-straight wins. She fell to the eventual champion Kenaya Mwehu, 3-1, but bounced back with a 3-0 victory against Kylee Smith. In the consolation bracket semifinals, she defeated Molly Root, 3-0, to advance to the consolation finals. There, she took down Lillian Prendergast in a 3-1 win to wrap up her competition.
