MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — ESU baseball alum Nick McAuliffe's contract with the Frontier League's Evansville Otters was acquired by the Minnesota Twins, the organization announced Monday.

McAuliffe started last year with the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association before being traded to the Otters. He completed 37.2 IP in 39 appearances, striking out 54 batters while posting a 3.11 ERA.

Prior to beginning his career in the Frontier League, he was a key part of the ESU pitching staff, where he had an identical ERA across 92.2 IP, limiting batters to a .218 batting average against. McAuliffe went 10-4 across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, making eight starts in 32 appearances. In his first season with ESU after transferring from New Orleans, he was named to the All-PSAC East First Team, then helped lead the Warriors to a PSAC East regular season title in 2024.

McAuliffe's placement within the Twins' farm system is still to be determined by the organization.
