LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- East Stroudsburg University women's track and field athlete Shannon Harnett was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Harnett earned the honor following a standout showing at the All-American Meet, capturing first in both the high jump and the triple jump. Her clearance of 1.73m (5 feet 8 inches) in the high jump tied the meet record and was both an automatic PSAC qualifying mark and an NCAA provisional standard. Harnett's mark of 11.88m (38 feet 11 ¾ inches) in the triple jump was also an automatic PSAC qualifying mark.
Her mark in the high jump ranks second in the region while her mark in the triple jump ranks sixth.
