Quintois Opens Season as PSAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week

8/31/2026 2:30:00 PM

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — After making the second-longest field goal in program history in ESU's season-opening win over Seton Hill, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) named Ty Quintois the Special Teams Athlete of the Week.

Quintois, who went 2-2 on field goal attempts and 3-3 on PATs, was good from 55 yards out on the Warriors' first drive of the second half. With the make, he set a new personal best, outdoing his 42-yard field goal last season. His make was the 11th 50-yard field goal in program history, becoming the sixth kicker to accomplish the feat. The only made field goal by a Warrior that was longer than Quintois' is Jordan Walters, who was good from 56 at West Chester in 2019.

The 2025 All-American moved into fifth place in career points by a kicker with his nine-point performance on Thursday, jumping up to 184 across four seasons. He only trails Taylor Groff (303), Mark Brubaker (287), Ed Detwiler (262), and Jordan Walters (192). Additionally, he has the third-best field goal percentage in program history as well, going 21-31 for a 67.7% mark.

The Warriors are back on the road again this week, heading east to Pace for a night game against the Setters. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, in Pleasantville, N.Y.
