LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced Monday afternoon that East Stroudsburg University's Jadyn Orava was named the PSAC East Athlete of the Week following an impressive showing this past week for the Warriors.
Highlighting the week was Orava breaking the program record for kills in a single-match with 28 against Charleston (W. Va.) on Saturday at the Seton Hill Tournament.
Earlier in the week, the Warriors hosted Holy Family for their home opener and earned a four-set victory. Against the Tigers on Tuesday, Orava totaled 23 kills, a .333 hitting percentage, 13 digs, one solo block, and 24 points.
The Warriors went 2-1 at the Seton Hill Tournament, falling to Seton Hill in the opener in five sets before earning wins over West Virginia Wesleyan and Charleston in four sets each on Saturday. Throughout the tournament, Orava totaled 68 kills, five service aces, 20 digs, 4.0 total blocks, and 75.5 points. Following her outstanding performance, she was named to the SHU All-Tournament Team.
Across four matches and 17 sets during the week, Orava totaled 91 kills, 33 digs, five service aces, 5.0 total blocks, and 99.5 points.
