PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week (9/4/25, 10/4/25)
Junior (2025): Broke out on ESU's defensive line with an All-PSAC East Defensive First Team and D2CCA All-Super Region 1 Defensive Second Team season... Led ESU and was second in PSAC in sacks with 8.5, 20th in NCAA Division II in sacks per game with 0.77... Started season with three total tackles and 0.5 TFL against Edinboro (8/28)... Recorded nine total tackles with 3.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks for 10 yards lost in win against Pace (9/4)... Recorded four total tackles and a solo sack for five yards in win at Gannon (9/13)... Tallied five total tackles and 1.5 sacks for six yards at Lock Haven (9/27)... Capped off a streak of five games to start the season where he recorded at least half a sack per game with two more for six yards, going along with five total tackles and a forced fumble in win at West Chester (10/4)... Tallied two total tackles and two QB hits in win against Shippensburg (10/18)... Recorded a career-high 11 tackles, forced and recovered a fumble, and tallied two PBUs at Shepherd (10/25)... Added 1.5 sacks to his season total for nine yards with five total tackles in win over Millersville (11/8)... Finished season with a solo sack in comeback win over Clarion (11/15).
Sophomore (2024): Ashton Blose made a strong impact on East Stroudsburg’s defensive line during his redshirt freshman season, appearing in all 12 games. He totaled 31 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks, while consistently rotating into key PSAC matchups. Blose delivered his best performance against West Chester (Oct. 19), recording 6 tackles and a sack, and added another sack in the win over Millersville (Oct. 5). His physicality and motor helped fuel a defense that posted a shutout at Bloomsburg and secured a postseason berth. With versatility across the front and a growing presence in the rotation, Blose emerged as a reliable contributor in his first full season of action.
Freshman (2023): Appeared in four contests… finished with three tackles including solo tackles against Pace (8/31) and Millersville (10/7).
Background: Named to All-New Jersey First Team ... NJ Top 100 ... All-South Jersey ... all-group ... all-conference ... selected as all-conference player of the year ... captain ... tallied 164 tackles, 22.5 sacks and 50 tackles for loss ... helped Delsea to state championship, a sectional championship and two conference championships ...honor roll student ... exercise science major ... aspires to be become a college strength and conditioning coach.
Terwilliger on Blose: Ashton is a physical specimen. He uses his strength as a weapon. We love his versatility and he projects to make a difference at a number of positions on the defensive line.
